Australia: The Sight-Seeing Travel Tour :: Coupon World News

Australia: The Sight-Seeing Travel Tour

If you havent been to Australia or are planning to visit it a second time, then you must have all the information about the places to visit so that you can fully experience the wonderful land that is Australia.

Australia is the sixth-largest country in the world and is divided into 6 states and several territories. The 6 states are New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia. The two major territories are the Northern Territory (NT) and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

The largest part of Australia is desert or semi-arid, but the south-east and south-west corners have temperate climate and moderately fertile soil. The northern part has tropical climate, which is part tropical rainforest, part grassland and part desert.

When you go to Australia, you just cannot miss seeing The Great Barrier Reef. It is the worlds largest coral reef and extends for over 1,200 kms! It lies a short distance from the north-east coast.

Another spectacular place to visit is Uluru. It is the second largest monolith in the world and is located in central Australia. You can also visit the Great Artesian Basin, which is the worlds largest and deepest fresh water basin. Along with its beauty, it also serves as an important source of water in the parched outback.

You sure cant miss going to Sydney if you visit Australia. Sydney is located in a coastal basin situated between the Pacific Ocean to the east and the Blue Mountains to the west. You can enjoy all the activities associated with beaches because there are more than 70 beaches in Sydney! If you have limited time, then you can only go to the famous Bondi Beach of Australia.

Sydney has more amazing landmarks for you like Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. Both are located in Sydney Harbour. If you are interested in rowing, boating, recreational fishing, racing small yachts and Dragon Boat racing, then you can get all that in Sydney Harbour.

The city also boasts of musical, theatrical and artistic activities which come under one roof in the Sydney Festival which happens every January. More information can be found here - http://www.australias.co.uk/sydneyaustralia/

Melbourne is another major city of Australia which is situated in the south-east corner of the mainland Australia. It has a large and vibrant cultural life along with a chain of pubs, bars and nightclubs. Fashionable nightclubs, ubiquitous faux-Irish pubs, serious jazz venues on Bennetts Lane, massive pickup joints like The Metro on Bourke Street are all part of the citys magic.

If shopping is what tempts you the most, then there are many reasonably priced shopping places where you can go and shop till you drop. Melbourne has innumerable clothing shops for every budget and various outlet stores in Bridge Road, Richmond for bargain hunters too!

Perth is a city known for the pristine quality of its beaches. Unbroken stretches of golden sands run through the entire length of the citys coastal suburbs. If you are a nature lover, then you got to see this place.

Adelaide or the City of Churches, as it is often referred as, is a coastal city situated on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The name City of Churches is a reflection of Adelaides past rather than its present. The city has many wine growing districts such as the Baroosa valley.

Food lovers can taste traditional Australian cuisine which consists of grilled chops, Sunday roasts etc. Some English trends are still evident in domestic cuisine like hot roast turkey, chicken or ham with all the trimmings followed by Christmas pudding. Australias two most traditional takeaway dishes are the meat pie and sausage roll.

Cell Phones Important Factors To Consider :: Value Deals

Cell Phones Important Factors To Consider

Cell phones are hand-held telephone devices with built-in antennas. They are often called wireless, mobile, or PCS phones. They are popular with callers, especially those who are frequently on the go, since they can be carried easily from one place to another.

Basically, cell phones are two-way radios.

The most recent issue about cell phones is their perceived health hazards. As stated earlier, they are just like radios. However, to be more accurate, they are low-power, single-channel, two-way radio devices. When you talk on your cell phone, you are actually talking to a nearby base station. Base stations are low-power, multi-channel, two-way radios. Their function is to send your phone call into the regular land-line phone system so you can start talking with the person you are calling.

Now, since cell phones and their base stations are two-way radios, they produce radio-frequency (RF) energy which is what they use for communication. The scientific community both in the United States and internationally agree that the power from these cell phone base station antennas is far too low to produce health hazards and as long as people keep away from direct access to the antennas, they are safe from any perceived health risks.

Buying and Savings Tips

Cell phones are the in things nowadays and its hard not to find anyone without it. Many areas offer them for as low as $19.99. An excellent tactic to save is to only get features you need. Call your wireless provider to cancel extra features if you are not using them. This will allow you to save some on your cell phone service plan.

Camera Cell Phones

To be sure, cell phones are really the hottest new mobile gadgets in the marketplace these days. Never mind what sort of cell phone you have, whether its WAP-enabled, Bluetooth, or Infrared-based. Most of them in the market anyway have all these capabilities and more. There is no doubt that they have caught on like wildfire in the bushes. However, the popularity of mobile phones is hardly surprising.

Todays cell phones can be used to do just about anything. Camera cell phones were first introduced in Japan several years ago. Camera cell phones immediately clicked in the Asian market. However, it was not until two years ago that they were marketed in the US and became available to the masses. Industry analysts say that a huge number of them were sold last year.

It may seem to you that a camera cell phone would be no different than having a regular phone and a camera. But if truth be told having a camera in your mobile phone makes for an entirely different experience.

Shopping for just the right cell phone plan can be a daunting task. Dont let appearances fool you. If a plan appears too good to be true, then it probably is. That is why it is highly important for you, as a consumer, to be very vigilant when shopping for cell phone plans. Compare prices. Read the fine print. But most important of all, consider all the factors.

Curtains - Window Dressing? :: Codes for Coupons

Curtains - Window Dressing?

Why just hang curtains when I can install a window dressing? Have you looked at all the ways you can dress up a window lately?

Ive had the same old tired curtains hanging in my house for 20 years now. I decided that this year Im going to change the look of every room in my house, one at a time, starting with changing all my curtains! Youd be amazed how much of a difference that can make. Changes the whole room. Curtains have an effect on how much light comes into the room, for one thing. You can darken the bedroom with darker, thicker curtains and brighten the living room with white sheer curtains.

I had to get a new vocabulary going for this project, too. It helped to know what I was talking about when I went shopping. One great resource I found on the web was at CountryCurtains.com Theyve got information on measuring, fabrics, curtain styles and installation. There are also some articles on decorating there. I particularly read the link at the bottom called Learn About Curtains. Id always wondered what some of those styles were called. Theres a whole list of curtain styles from A to Z. Read about balloon curtains to valances.

I also looked for sites with pictures. You can talk about valances all day long, but until I see a picture of it, I have no idea what its going to look like on my window. Im no seamstress, but there were lots of pictures on PateMeadows.com because theyre selling curtain patterns so you can make your own. They have a great photo gallery that will give you more new ideas than you can imagine.

If you dont see what you like, keep looking. You might like the shape of some curtains, but not the fabric theyre pictured in. Dont worry. Someplace else will have a similar design in a fabric you will like. Have fun!

Free Mystery Shopper Opportunities :: Amazing Values!

Free Mystery Shopper Opportunities

Mystery shoppers visit establishments and pretend to be customers. Businesses from auto dealers to fast food restaurants hire mystery shoppers. These shoppers conduct assigned transactions for the purpose of consumer research. They observe such things as employee responsiveness, customer service, product quality, and business cleanliness. Then they write a report describing the experience in detail.
Businesses use these reports to pinpoint weaknesses and improve them. They also use them to locate strengths and build on them.
Mystery shoppers are generally paid about $10 to $40 per shop. In addition, they are reimbursed for assigned purchases. You might occasionally be a "free mystery shopper" who does not get paid in money. For example, if the assignment is to visit a hotel, the shopper may only receive the free hotel room. To become a mystery shopper, a person should be a good communicator. They should be able to interact with employees of the businesses they are shopping. Shoppers must also be adept at written communication, as they must accurately relay the transaction. Mystery shoppers should also be observant and detail-oriented. They should also be fairly computer and Internet savvy, as forms must be downloaded from the Internet. Most reports are sent back via email.
For anyone considering becoming a mystery shopper, there is a dizzying array of information available. Hundreds of websites offer to sell you kits or access to databases. For anywhere from $10 to $50 you can have a wealth of information at your fingertips. They are all so reasonably priced it's difficult to know which membership to buy. In a word: None.
Never pay a fee to a company for a list of mystery shopper jobs. There is an abundance of free mystery shopper information available. For example, the Mystery Shopping Providers Association offers a searchable database of job listings and companies who hire mystery shoppers. They also offer information about training and certification for mystery shoppers. Legitimate hiring companies will also give free mystery shopper information.

How to Shop Smartly for Fashion in Paris :: Coupon World News

How to Shop Smartly for Fashion in Paris

Going to Paris for a shopping spree needs not put your household finances down for the next two years. It simply requires a little planning, and being let in on little-known shops offering bargain basement deals.

Paris is a shopping mosaic

Those of you who visited Paris already know that from a shopper's perspective, the city is divided in broad sections where stores of the same trade tend to congregate. A mosaic of many colors, tastes, and price ranges.

Take Saint-Germain-des-Prs, for instance. The highest part of the famed area, situated closest to Boulevard St Germain, is home to designer clothing stores, sidewalk cafs and restaurants. Dive in, and your footsteps will lead you to Rue de Seine where the art galleries have drawn together.

From Saint-Germain, walk up the Rue de Rennes, towards the Montparnasse area. You'll be crossing the Rue Du Four where even more expensive clothiers line up the facades. But continue on to the Saint Sulpice metro station, around which many clothing stores offer cheaper garments and accessories.

Sales season in Paris

In another area of the city, not too far from the old Opera house, the Boulevard Haussmann became the homestead of the department stores over a century ago. The Printemps store was built there in 1865, followed closely by the Galeries Lafayette, in 1893. Department stores are not unlike Ali Baba's treasure cave: clothes, shoes, jewelry, watches, accessories, perfumes spread on a five-story high, gigantic floor space.

Their selection is great, but you have to visit Paris during the official sale seasons to find true bargains there. And there are only two sales seasons in France: winter, and summer. Their respective starting dates in a given year are set by administrative decree, and they each last 6 weeks. In Paris the winter sale season usually starts in the second week of January. The summer sales season starts toward end-June.

Designer depot bargains

For off-season bargains look somewhere else. The gems are often to be found in small shops in God-forsaken streets, or in hard-to-find first-floor apartments. This is especially the case of designer depots.

Though it has become a brand name in North America, a designer depot is in fact a form of commerce. People like you and me bring in clothes we don't want to wear anymore, and get a little money from the shop owner who will resell our garments for a little more money to other people.

I can hear your blas comments: "Tcha! Consignment stores! Thrift shops!..." Well, in Paris, designer depots aren't exactly your regular Salvation Army-type stores. Not at all.

Though not all equal before God, Parisian designer depots are often owned and managed by women with a background in the fashion industry. Women with flair and a sharp eye for what to wear and how. Women who can readily tell you why you would look better in this dress than in that one.

In 'designer depot", there is the magic word 'designer'. Parisian designer depots offer designer and couture clothes at deep, deep, deep discounts. And mind you, clothes in quasi perfect condition. Clothes worn only once. Well, maybe twice.

If you come to them with your regular hoodies, or your last season tennis shoes, or your mall-shopped polo shirt for that matter, do not expect to be welcomed. Expect rejection with a disapproving stare instead.

So, where do they hide?

Then again, not all designer depots were created equal, and where you go shopping for practically-perfect-in-every-way designer clothes is the true measure of your inside knowledge of the city.

I would like to recommend you three 'petites adresses' [the French for 'best-kept-secret places'] I selected amongst a host of others.

For those of you, ladies, who like the classic look, 'Priscilla' is the shop for you. Priscilla is lady who owns the place. She reveres such signature names as Yves Saint Laurent, Max Mara, Kenzo, Chistian Dior, and Sonya Rykiel. Her prices range from 60 for a skirt, to 75 for a jacket, to 130 for a lady's suit. Priscilla advises you to rummage around, and come to her place with an open mind. The shop is located at 4 rue Mouton- Duvernet, in the 14 th district. The nearest metro station is Mouton-Duvernet. Its opening hours are between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Monday, and between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm from Tuesday to Saturday with a one-hour break at 1:30 pm.

My next address, 'Le Jupon Rouge', is situated at 9 rue de Rochechouart in the 9th district. The owner, Tania, describes here designer depot as "colorful, ethnic but not hippie, and certainly not classical in style". Tania offers a selection of up and coming French designers such as Bali Barret (a fencing-style vest for 45, cashmere blend cardigans for 45 to 100) and Vanessa Bruno (wool jackets, 90). She also carries more established signatures such as Agns B (her signature black jacket is offered at 50), and vintage Ungaro blouses for 45. Ladies looking for shoes can fall for pairs of Stephane Kelian low-cut cuban boots (100), Repetto ballerina shoes (40), or vintage low-heel horseriding boots (40-70). Tania opens her doors from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm with a one-hour lunch break at 1:30 pm.

In a totally different style, Griff-Troc is the designer depot you need to lose yourself into when you want to go chic-chic-chic. The owner, Beatrice, chose to specialize in perennial, classic basics in perfect condition. Chic has a heftier price tag, of course, but on the upside Griff-Troc offers brand names for 15-30% of boutique prices. On the shelves at the time I wrote this article, Beatrice had a Chanel suit for 1000 (vs. 5000 at Chanel's), a brand-new Chloe bag for 800 (instead of 1200), several astounding evening dresses priced between 1200 and 1500 (Chloe, Dior, D&G, Valentino), and Herms silk scarfs on offer for only 150. She maintains a full selection of bags, jewels, and fragrances. Chic classic never dies, who cares about whether your Chanel suit is this season's or not? The busy boutique is located in the posh section of the 17 th district, at 119 Boulevard Malesherbes. The nearest metro stations are Villiers and Monceau. Its opening hours are between 10:30 am and 7:00 pm, from Monday to Saturday.

More shopping tips to come

These are just three of my selection of designer depots and small boutiques. In subsequent articles I will recommend more of those 'petites adresses', including some specializing in men's wear. Meanwhile, I hope you have had the opportunity to meet Tania, Beatrice, and Priscilla in person, and find a couple of eye-pleasing items for yourself. Ta-ta!

Create Pretty Recycled Notepads From Junk! :: Codes for Coupons

Create Pretty Recycled Notepads From Junk!

This is how to turn brown paper, paper bags and any other paper scraps into cute and useful notepads and scribble pads. It is simple to do, so even little children can help! They make great little presents and if you start to save your paper now, you will have a good collection in no time. Set aside a box for collecting half-printed pages from the desk, paper shopping bags, scraps of pretty wrapping paper or wallpaper samples, and put them to good use!
You will need: A pile of scrap paper Scissors Scrap cardboard PVA glue (white glue or school glue)
Decide on the size of your notebook and cut a piece of cardboard as the backing. Use this to cut out a number of pages for your notebook. You can mix and match papers and textures or stick to one kind.
Stack them up with the cardboard underneath, bang them gently onto a hard surface so that they lie true, and then put them flat on a table or counter with the top edge protruding slightly over the edge. Weight the stack down with a heavy book but leave the top edge uncovered.
Paint along the top of the stack with the PVA glue, making sure that all the pages come into contact with some glue (a finger comes in handy for this!). Leave to dry.
The notepads are now ready to use, but you may prefer to embellish them a little - especially if you intend to give them as gifts. Try painting on an extra thin layer of glue and dipping into glitter. Use a small piece of ribbon or braid along the top edge, stick on buttons and bows, or just use an attractive piece of gift wrap as the top page and finish by adding a further, folded strip of the same paper to neaten. The possibilities are endless and you will have fun experimenting.

Playscapes Rock :: Cost Cutting Done Right!

Playscapes Rock

Playscapes Rock

People without children may not be able to relate to this, in fact, they may hate it....but anyone with a kid under the age of ten will understand this one. Playscapes at restaurants and other businesses are GREAT.

I have noticed a new phenomenon that makes dining out with kids much more enjoyable for my wife and I (AND anyone who might be seated near us in a restaurant). More restaurants are popping up that have playscapes for the children.

It used to be just McDonalds and other fast-food chains that had play areas....but now there are family oriented establishments that include fun areas where the kids can go after eating half their order of chicken nuggets. Meanwhile, the parents can continue to sit and finish their meal ... while keeping a watchful eye on the little ones.

In my home town of Austin, Texas, a family dining establishment, Waterloo Ice House has a location (and another currently under construction) with a great playscape, sandbox and plenty of grass on which to run around. The food is very good, the atmosphere is pleasant, and we actually get to finish our meals when dining out with our two children.

In addition, two local supermarkets, that have restaurants, also have play areas. Central Market (North) and the new Whole Foods Landmark Store are great places to meet other families for a nice meal. The kids can eat, and then play, while the parents can share upscale food and adult conversation. (Whole Foods has the picnic area and playscape on the roof with live music on Friday and Saturday).

In today's minivan and SUV dominated world, I think more businesses should have kid friendly activities built in (Hyatt Hotels and Resorts actually have "Camp Hyatt" at all of their properties). I am thinking that airports, shopping centers, music stores and the like should have child areas ...... but I know that would annoy the heck out of tons of people without kids. I can hear them now!!!

MLM Training- Secrets to Massive MLM Success During the Holidays- Part 1 :: Daily Coupon Deals

MLM Training- Secrets to Massive MLM Success During the Holidays- Part 1

The Holidays.

Sometimes, in MLM and network marketing, it seems when you say those words, network marketers shut down. They simply think that they will start again January 1, and kick it into gear. Network Marketing during the holidays does not exist, and they slow down to a crawl.

Who in the world sold you on that?

That is simply a dumb thing to do.

Yes, during the holidays, people are busy, and people are going places, shopping, and do not want to think about a home based business many times.

But it's because of the focus of ther networker. Many mlm distributors do not know how to work this business and hold conversations during the holiays. Your focus must be different than any other time of the year.

It takes a little finesse.

And you still have many things going for you that will work totally in your favor, and help kick your mlm business into gear the first of the year.

What 2 things are working in your favor during the holidays that makes it easy to create success in your Network marketing business?

1) People are in the Holiday Emotion.

Many folks are in the emotion of sentimental memories. They are remembering past Holdays and their favorite Christmas. They are thinking about the smell of pie and turkey. They are remembering their childhood. They are thinking of parents long past. And many are thinking about the Birth of Christ.

How can you move people to a real powerful emotion that draws them to you?

Ask this:

"What is your favorite holiday memory? Tell me about it."

People really will think about this, and then will give you their answer. And many times they get excited just thinking about it.

Why would you ask them this?

To open them up, and let the emotion of the Holidays flow, and draw them towards you. This simply will create an opening to talk to them after the first of the year.

"I would love to chat with you the first of the year. I could really use some help on something."

This simply will open the door to ask for their help in locating some talent for your business or customers that can benefit from your products.

2) People are in the Holiday Focus.

People are focused on many things during this time of the year. One focus is CHANGE.

People are looking to change things more than any other time of the year.

People are focused on EXPECTATION.

They are expecting and anticipating a great holiday season, and also a better new year. Talk to them about the change you can offer in their life. But set a time that is convenient for them.

People are focused on SHOPPING.

There is no better place to meet people than Holiday shopping.

Talk to them about their children.
Compliment their children.
Ask them about their plans for the holidays.
Ask if you can help someone who is struggling with bags of gifts.
Talk to people about the crowds in the malls.
Talk to people about the prices of goods today.
Ask people for their opinion on something you are thinking about buying.

Shopping is a great way for men and women to meet folks who are out and about. Especially in toy stores and books stores. These are great places to meet folks who have kids, and are readers. Readers and parents are great MLM prospects.

And retail clerks who are tired and harried are great prospects to talk to about changing things in 2006.

"Is next year going to be like this year for you working in this retail zoo? Do the crowds get to you sometimes? Here is my card. You deserve better than this. You have an incredible personality. Would love to chat sometime about getting you out of here."

MLM Success during the holidays is easy and quite fun, if you let it be. But you must keep your "radar" on to talk to folks and to help anyone who looks like they could need a hand.

"May I give you a hand with that? Here let me help. My name is doug, what's yours?"

The holiday season is a great time for CONNECTION.

Connect with new people to make new friends and to hold new conversations about the future and 2006.

What a way to start the new year- with 12 new friends that want to help you in your MLM and Network Marketing business!

blessings...doug
